What Do I Teach?
I provide one-on-one, tailor-made German language lessons for children aged 5 to 12 years in-person at your home in Marin County, CA.
The learning content aligns with the German curriculum for grades 1 to 6, focusing on relevant competencies. Each student receives instruction that is specifically adapted to their individual skill level.
My approach is personalized, encompassing over 300 competencies that span the complete 1st to 6th grade school syllabus. I focus on enhancing your child's undeveloped skills, ensuring personalized learning achievements, and fostering a joyous learning experience.
Who am I?
I'm Kirsten (Keke) Wilhelm, with over 20 years of teaching experience in Germany and California.
Holding dual state exams in Germany, I've taught subjects like German, Social-Emotional Learning, Mathematics, and Physical Education in Elementary and Middle Schools. Since 2017, I've been living in Mill Valley, recently teaching 2nd grade at GISSV (German International School of Silicon Valley). With the school's relocation and my children attending local schools here, I started to teach private German lessons.

The curriculum is segmented into three areas: speaking, reading, and writing. I provide a comprehensive range of 100 competencies in each category, encompassing the entire primary school curriculum of Germany/ North Rhine-Westphalia. Instruction is tailored to meet each child at their current learning stage. While I primarily conduct lessons in-person in Marin County, I am also available for online sessions if preferred and feasible.
